Pengaruh Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan Kemajuan Teknologi terhadap Kesiapan Operasi KRI Sidat-851 dalam Menjaga Sektor Ambalat melalui Profesionalisme Personel

Abstract

The Ambalat area is a strategic and conflict-prone maritime zone that requires a strong and continuous presence of the Indonesian Navy to safeguard national sovereignty. The operational readiness of KRI Sidat-851, one of the patrol vessels operating in this area, depends not only on weapon systems but also on the quality of human resources, professionalism, and the effective utilization of technology. Professionalism acts as a crucial link between human capability and technological advancement in achieving operational effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource (HR) quality and technological advancement on the operational readiness of KRI Sidat-851 in securing the Ambalat sector, with personnel professionalism as the intervening variable. This research applies a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design and was conducted at the Patrol Ship Unit of the Indonesian Navy’s Main Naval Base XIII (Lantamal XIII). The sample consists of 181 personnel selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaires and processed using SmartPLS and Microsoft Excel. Data analysis employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and SWOT analysis. The results show that HR quality and technological advancement have a significant positive effect on personnel professionalism and operational readiness. Education, training, and experience enhance professionalism, while advanced technology increases efficiency and responsiveness. However, technology is only effective when supported by competent and professional personnel.
