Abstract

This study addresses the issue of employee job satisfaction in public health service institutions, particularly its relationship with psychological and work-related factors. The aim of this research is to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of self-efficacy, work-life balance, and workload on job satisfaction among employees at UPTD Puskesmas Tinggi Raja. A quantitative approach with a descriptive design was applied, using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to all 39 employees (saturated sampling). The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by classical assumption tests. The results indicate that self-efficacy and work-life balance have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while workload has a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence job satisfaction. The model explains a substantial proportion of variance in job satisfaction, indicating that both individual confidence and work-life balance contribute to higher satisfaction, whereas excessive workload tends to reduce it. These findings highlight the importance of managing employee workload and supporting psychological factors to improve job satisfaction in public health organizations.
